It is very common nowadays to read reviews before purchasing any item online. We want to evaluate an item based on the opinions of others. The same logic applies to your employability to demonstrate your past performance, especially during an interview.
However, choosing a scheme solely based on past performance is not a good investment strategy. It doesn't mean that performance should altogether be ignored while picking up a stock or scheme.
The vast majority of people who chase the returns of any scheme, stock, or market are severely disappointed eventually. What has been delivered has already taken place; what is more important now is the future return, which is dependent on a variety of other factors.
We should never overlook the statutory warning that Past Performance Is No Guarantee of Future Results.
