This reminds me of an old story. Raghu, a young villager boy, aspired to visit a metro city for the first time since his childhood.
How will Raghu get there if he doesn't know which city he needs to visit?
What if he doesn't arrive on time at the station?
Will he be able to catch the right train to his destination?
Even if we are solo travelers, we must devise a strategy that includes critical elements such as travel time, direction, and distance to cover. Whereas we place a greater emphasis on speed.
This is a mistake that we all make with our investments. The important thing in investing is to know where to invest, what I will get back, and how long I need to stay invested for that. Typically, we are concerned with returns only.
